If more than one person uses your PC, you probably each have your own user account. If not, you really should! If you do, you might be wondering how to switch from one user account to another without having to reboot the computer every time.
It’s actually quite fast and easy to switch user accounts in Windows 8.1. Here are three ways to do it, depending on which screen you happen to be on at the time.
From anywhere within Windows
1 – Press the Ctrl+Alt+Del key combination.
2 – Click Switch User.
3 – Click on the user account you wish to switch to.
From the Start Screen
1 – Click on the active User Name in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
2 – Click Sign Out.
3 - Click on the user account you wish to switch to.
From the Desktop
1 – Right-click the Start button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.
2 – Hover your mouse pointer over Shut down or sign out.
3 -Click Sign Out.
4 - Click on the user account you wish to switch to.
